Adrian Holmes brings art of Japan to Truro

Krowji artist Adrian Holmes will be exhibiting his Japanese woodblock prints at Truro Arts this month until 16th February.

Adrian is a multi disciplinary artist whose primary focus is woodblock printing, his work is printed in small editions and not copied or digitally printed anywhere else.

“I fell in love with the art of printing when living in Japan and began to study this beautiful craft and its various techniques. I’m fascinated by its versatility, openness and process. It’s a medium which allows for so many possibilities and a medium which I find helps me to convey my thoughts, ideas, and feelings towards life, nature and the world around us. As I continue to work in the medium of print, mastering new processes, teaching students, and working with other artists as a printer, my approach is still developing and I am still exploring.”
