Andrew’s ‘Waiting for the Bulldozers’ (a drawing in charcoal and graphite) depicts the old derelict farm building in the field opposite Krowji. The piece was born of some scouting and sketching Andrew had done on site, and beautifully captures the building in pastel prior to its demolition.
Featuring works created in pastel, pencil, chalk and charcoal, The Pastel Society holds an exhibition each year to showcase the pastel medium through the work of leading contemporary artists as well as encouraging work by new artists yet to be established.
It is always a lovely thing when we see our artists find inspiration here at the Krowji site. We wish Andrew and all of our tenants much success in the coming year.
