Dinah worked for 14 years in a senior management role at United International Pictures at their head office in London handling multi million pound campaigns on a worldwide basis for Paramount, Universal, MGM and Dreamworks. In 1997 she moved to Cornwall with her husband Roger and their family and bought Mylor Yacht Harbour, then a small business in a beautiful location in need of investment and restructuring. Over the next 5 years they expanded the business through the construction of a marina, associated dredging and new buildings ashore creating over 60 new jobs. This was a joint public and privately financed £5 million project which was part funded by the South West RDA on a gap-funding basis. Since then Mylor Yacht Harbour has continued to thrive and grow, including the construction of the privately funded £1.25 million Mylor Yacht Club formally opened by HRH Princess Anne in July 2011. Dinah is also on the board of trustees of Creative Kernow .
Chris first acquired his direct practical building skills from an extensive renovation and self-build project on an Orkney croft.
Following his move to Cornwall, he was appointed to the project team for the £1.7 million new visitor centre completed in 2002 at Trebah on the Helford with responsibility for education and environmental sustainability. He joined the Borlase Smart John Wells Trust as Trust Manager in 2005, with a primary focus on managing the two capital projects to repair and renovate the Trust’s two complexes of artists’ studios in St Ives and Newlyn.
The £130,000 renovation of Trewarveneth Studios in Newlyn was completed in 2007, providing six studios in this former school building in the heart of Newlyn.
Development and fundraising for the £4 million Grade II* listed Porthmeor Studios project in St Ives took much longer than expected, but construction work finally started in 2010. This was a very demanding project due to the bespoke nature of the work and the constraints of the site, but it was highly rewarding and provided Chris with an immense amount of invaluable experience. He was closely involved in all aspects of the project including dealing with a complex mix of funders (ERDF, EFF, Arts Council England, DCMS, English Heritage, Heritage Lottery Fund, Cornwall Council and charitable trusts); appointing the design team; overseeing the design process and applications for planning and listed building consent; appointing a lead contractor; liaison with local authorities and the local community; managing a range of tenants, including artists, the St Ives School of Painting and local fishermen; and managing the construction programme with the support of an external project manager. The project was completed on time and within budget in late 2012.

He has been an invaluable source of specialist advice and expertise since joining the Krowji board in 2011.
Daiman D. Baker is the newest member of the Krowji board of directors. He was a lawyer in Los Angeles before moving to France in 2001 for business school. In 2003, he came to the UK to begin a career in financial services in London. Daiman moved to Cornwall with his young family in 2012 and still does the weekly commute from Hayle.
Daiman’s public service includes a seat on the board of directors of the Stovall Foundation (social housing entity in LA which focused on elder care) from 1997 to 2001. While in LA, he received the Wiley W. Manuel Award for pro bono legal services in 1997. He has served locally as non-executive / independent board member of Cornwall Housing Ltd. (overseeing delivery of landlord and maintenance services to council tenants) from 2011 to 2014. He was board champion for two impact projects at CHL: build-out of almost 150 solar energy sites and technology-enabled efficiencies (intranet build and paperless board meetings).
