Workshops for Windmill Nursery

In January 2015 children from Windmill Nursery, based next door to Krowji, were invited to participate in some creative workshops run by Krowji tenants.

As part of Krowji’s community outreach programme during the Phase 1 redevelopment 6 of our artists ran a series of workshops with children from Windmill Nursery, including screen-printing, jewellery and ceramics. The children from the Windmill Nursery spent a day screenprinting with Krowji artist Tony Minnion, learning about textiles with Zoe Wright, making ceramic butterflies with Gail Aspden and Agnieszka Niesluchowska and creating jewellery with Anna Pope & Beth Robinson. The creations from the workshop were then turned into an 8 foot mural designed by project lead artist Tony Minnion.
