Tying up Loose Threads : Sally Darlington

Tying up Loose Threads is a final exhibition by textile artist Sally Darlington at The Salt House Gallery Norway Sq, Saint Ives.

Sally’s work is a collection of 2 dimentional textiles/mixed media, using natural fibres, silk, cotton, wool and industrial felt, embellished with hand and machinery embroidery stitches, creating one off fine art pieces. Much of the work represents an imaginary journey of the life cycle of a silk cocoon. Incorporating all the geography of Sally’s life. Sallys new work incorporates Cornish beach finds to create rust dying images incorporating Cornish tin, stones and sandy tones.

The Open Event will take place on Saturday 7th October from Midday and the exhibition will be open daily from 10am – 6pm from 7th-13th October.
