Royal Cornwall Museum: Let the games begin

Krowji tenant Melanie Johns is taking part in the ‘Let the games begin’ exhibition at Royal Cornwall Museum. This is an interactive experience including ancient board games, retro video games and a variety of traditional children’s games.

Melanie has adapted the traditional “Snakes and Ladders” game to make a Cornish mining themed game called “Ladders and Mineshafts”.  The illustrations on the board game are based on tin mining in the mid 1800s when women and children played an active role in the industry.  A three metre square version has been produced for the interactive exhibition at Royal Cornwall Museum, Truro.
