Creative Kernow, based at Krowji, is the umbrella organisation for the following nine projects. Together we support the production, promotion and distribution of work by creative practitioners in Cornwall because we believe in creativity's transformative power and want more people to benefit from it.

Members showcase: Anna Pope

Anna Pope is holding a special solo show of her designs at the Devon Guild of Craftsmen from Sat 20th May – Tue 26th June.

Inspired by traditional basketry techniques, Anna explores the heritage of centuries-old craft skills which are crucial to forming her contemporary jewellery. Through her work Anna hopes to share her appreciation of the heritage of the beautiful basketry of a slower-paced bygone era, when makers were in tune with their natural surroundings and materials used.

For her intricate coiled collection she uses enamel, gold or entraps gemstones into the naturally formed hole created by the traditional coiling technique, exploring the boundaries of hand-weaving with fine silver and gold wire.
