Glimpses of Ali Cockrean’s work in St Ives

Queen’s Diamond Jubilee artist Ali Cockrean, who has recently moved into a studio at Krowji, is one of three local painters showing at The Crypt Gallery in early July in ‘Glimpses’.

It is the challenge of capturing fleeting moments in time that forms the basis of the show drawing three very different artists together.

“While we each have unique styles and approaches to our work, we are all attempting to capture very specific and often elusive elements. For me, it’s all about harnessing the intangibles of energy and atmosphere, while recording a pure millisecond of Cornish time.” says expressionist painter, Ali.
