2020 will be a year of development and challenge for the organisation with the retirement of Creative Kernow’s long-standing Chief Executive as well as the Finance Director. Our retiring Chief Executive has led Creative Kernow for nearly 30 years so this is a significant moment of change.
We are seeking a Chief Executive to lead the organisation for the next period of development of our complex, multi-stranded organisation which is constantly evolving in response to the opportunities offered by Cornwall’s exciting creative environment. This post is a highly varied and challenging one. The Chief Executive has the usual wide range of responsibilities including the overall management of the Creative Kernow group.
The Finance Director will play a key senior role, working alongside the Chief Executive to manage this complex, multi-stranded organisation. We seek someone who will fit in well with our team, who will demonstrate initiative, flair and sensitivity in dealing with a very wide range of contacts and who will be able to rise to the challenge of working in a creative and voluntary sector environment alongside the more usual demands of a financial management role. The role is a mix of high-level tasks such as preparing management and annual accounts, as well as working with the Project Directors and other staff on detailed project finances.
