A new chapter for the former Redruth library building

Cornwall Heritage Trust are in the early planning stages of a bid to take on the impressive former library building on Redruth’s Clinton Road as a cultural and heritage hub.

Cornwall Council has accepted a bid from the Cornwall Heritage Trust, a charity currently based at Krowji, which protects some of the most notable heritage sites in Cornwall and provides grants to heritage organisations and education programmes.

The Trust propose to turn the Grade II Listed building into a cultural and heritage hub, where organisations can meet and hold events and functions, and where the Trust can have a more visible presence. Community consultation sessions will be planned for the future.
