Led by expert craftsman Sam Walsh, the team have transformed the kitchen, utility room, boot room, bedroom and study in historic Kiln Quay House, Flushing.
The re-design involved making bespoke painted tulipwood, oak and oak burr cabinets for the kitchen, creating a curved island section to divide the cooking and dining areas and fashioning an oak burr counter top pantry that includes internal spice racks, curved doors and open bookshelves. The solid oak drawers are dovetail jointed and run on soft-close runners, a tall section incorporates a large, American-style fridge, a pull-out larder and a built-in microwave and a double Belfast sink has instant, boiling water from the tap.
Having established the business at Krowji in 2011, Sam has seen it grow over the years with the addition of full-time employee Nathan Richards four years ago and, more recently, apprentice Jack Eggleton. Sam’s wife Sarah also looks after the marketing.
As well as being in this month’s Cornwall Life Magazine Samuel F Walsh Furniture’s work is also in The Falmouth Packet.
