Creative Kernow, based at Krowji, is the umbrella organisation for the following nine projects. Together we support the production, promotion and distribution of work by creative practitioners in Cornwall because we believe in creativity's transformative power and want more people to benefit from it.

Alice Mahoney: Open Evening at Back Lane West

Join Back Lane West’s current artist in residence and Krowji studio-holder Alice Mahoney, for an open evening on Friday 27th April.

Through video, sound, print and sculpture, Alice Mahoney’s work questions the seductive nature of surface, materials and forms and how they can change our experience and the way we feel.

Working with a wide range of mediums and found materials, Mahoney investigates desire in popular culture and questions why we are attracted to things and how objects can be presented to us as a consumer or viewer.

Back Lane West is a non-profit, artist led, residency, project, and meeting space in Redruth. Its aims are to support and encourage critically engaged contemporary art practice and artists’ professional development, while contributing to the growth of a regionally, nationally and internationally connected, open cultural community and network in the South West.
