Against the flow of “the instantaneous”, time is marked, celebrated, mourned for and reborn with each new encounter. In essence the turn of the seasons, the arrival of spring, the anger of the storm and the energy within the evening mummeration of jackdaws are all mirrored images of our own human existence.
The re-awakening of a spiritual aspect to my life combined with my creative practice has made me happier. I am at peace with myself and the world at large and it has helped me come to terms with loss and the inevitability of on-going change.
If we look upon the world with humilty we feed our souls and not our egos and this can enable us to make a difference to the lives of others and the larger issues we face.
Feltmaking has taught me how to become absorbed and connected with the medium and the stages of the felting process itself. Over time this has given a greater depth and confidence to the quality of my work and the images and 3D pieces I make.
